Part of the pleasure of using herbs on a daily basis is that they invite a measure of ritual into our lives. Immersing herbs in hot water requires us to slow down as we wait for them release their aromatic volatile oils, filling the air with scent and the water with their medicine. In this class we will learn about three types of herbal hydrotherapy: teas, steams, and baths. We will taste and discuss the benefits of a variety of herbs and herbal teas and try a soothing herbal facial steam. At the end of class you will have an opportunity to make a tea blend, steam blend, or bath tea blend to take home.
