Kitchen Witch: Vinegar Tonics

I’m excited to share my love of tangy-sweet herbal tonics in this new Kitchen Witch workshop. We will taste and learn about traditional (and delicious) sipping vinegars, specifically shrubs and oxymels. I’m aiming to have around a half dozen tonics to taste while we talk about their efficacy and history. Everyone will also go home with recipes and information on how to adjust them as desired.

We will close the workshop by working together to chop ingredients for fire cider, a traditional vinegar based tonic that impressively boosts the immune system. Everyone will take home a jar of fire cider to help them through the winter (or just to sip because it’s delicious!) This is the part of class I’m most looking forward to. There’s something really powerful about making herbal preparations together as a group.
