The stress so many of us have come to accept as a normal part of life affects us well beyond our moods. We experience it constantly without a chance to recover and it brings us out of balance, altering our emotions and relationships, our sleeping, eating, and menstrual cycles, our energy levels, and how we feel about ourselves. Join us for a workshop that will empower you to bring your body and mind back into balance naturally with the support of herbs.

In this course you will receive two lessons a week, one on Monday and one on Thursday, over email for four weeks.  

Part of the workshop will be experiential as you taste a specific selection of suggested herbs and find your own herbal allies. The materia medica (the list of herbs and their uses) will include nervous system relaxants, nervous system tonics, and adaptogens.



The course will cover:

introduction to herbalism / addressing symptoms vs addressing causes / herbal medicine making / types of herbs for the nervous system / finding your herbal ally / herbal recipes / the nervous system / the difference between stress and anxiety / actions of herbs / methods of taking and using herbs / creating practices and rituals
